Since 2017, Edves Limited, a leading Edtech company in Africa has been organizing online and offline Edtech and Non-Edtech conference tagged Edves Catalyst. This conference brings together over 5000 Educators, Administrators, School owners, Teachers, Parents, and other stakeholders across several countries in Africa. To discuss practical ways the quality of education in the continent can be enhanced while prioritizing technology for long-term gain.

Mrs Funke Fowler-Amba – Director at Vivian Fowler Memorial College For Girls

The 2-day event is always packed with powerful sessions, practical learning moments with panellist sessions, seminars, workshops, and networking, that have left participants excited and looking forward to the next one.

In this year’s event, our goal is to encourage School Owners, Administrators, Teachers, Parents and other stakeholders to take bold steps in their operations with a special focus on Learning Crises, Learning Equity and Learning Outcomes.

We would have speakers and panellists who are top industry and mission leaders of various disciplines in the educational sectors who will be speaking and discussing actionable ways we can improve the education system in Nigeria and Africa. For the first time since the inception of the Edves catalyst event, we will be introducing a student competition where students will compete in two areas: STEM and Entrepreneurship. The top 3 best pitches from the students in either of the two areas will be recognized at the event.

Cobhams Asuquo – Singer-Songwriter, Music Producer, UNICEF Ambassador

Over the 6 editions, participants have seen how technology can be applied to perform and manage daily school activities optimally. From the event, school owners and educators were shown the benefits of automating their school operations which includes accessing school information readily with few clicks, parents communicating with them seamlessly, managing and supervising teachers’ work, etc. This year, the conference will be on the 2nd and 3rd of June, 2023, in Lagos, Nigeria and we look forward to having a great time with the participants.
