Mrs Lauretta Patrick-Nwachi is the CEO of Makarois School Connect
Mrs Lauretta Patrick-Nwachi is a 1999 Economics and Statistics graduate from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria.
She began an exciting Banking career at Guaranty Trust Bank in 2000 in the Treasury Unit. She would later move on to other units including Branch Operations and Business Development. She was very involved in the pioneering of several branches of the Bank. She also had a stint with the then Diamond Bank and was the pioneer Business Manager for the Federal University of Technology Owerri Branch, a position she held till her exit from Banking in 2011.
She joined the services of the Federal University of Technology Owerri that same year as a University Administrator. She was the pioneer Center Administrator for the Center for Research and International Development and the Public Procurement Research Center, the foremost Public Procurement Research Center established by the Bureau for Public Procurement to train public officers in Nigeria. Presently a Principal Assistant Registrar at Post Graduate School, she oversees communication with the Business Committee of the University Senate.
In 2021 she organized the Makarios Schools Connect, a Competition for Primary schools working with volunteers to bring back Academic Excellence to our Elementary schools. She is a member of the Association of Nigerian University Administrators, the Nigerian Economics Society and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria. She has attended several courses and training programs and she has also spearheaded several training programs for young people.
She is married to Pastor Dr Patrick Nwachi a Minister of the Gospel and a Consultant Family Physician. They are Blessed with 4 biological children, 2 boys and 2 girls whose musical talent was discovered during the COVID period. Mrs Lauretta Patrick-Nwachi is very passionate about Academic Excellence and she is a firm believer in the quote that “Every Child is Your Child”.
